Our services extend from start to finish of a real estate deal.  Our firm serves to protect our clients’ interests when structuring, negotiating and drafting the terms of real estate transactions; performing due diligence; arranging and confirming compliance with escrow requirements; obtaining and evaluating title insurance and endorsements; and representing the client at closings. While we prefer to get involved when a purchase is still “a gleam in the buyer’s eye,” we can add value at any stage of the transaction, even after a contract has been signed.

We are well qualified to help you address the challenges, and take advantage of the opportunities, of current and future economic conditions. Our experience spans a number of economic boom-bust cycles, as well as the complete life cycle of individual businesses and real estate investments and developments. Whatever stage you are at in your real estate investment, or at any stage in the economic cycle, we can help design, negotiate and implement the legal structure, due diligence and documentation to help you reach your goals while minimizing risks. The firm has extensive experience working with companies and individuals with respect to real estate and economic development in Arizona and Mexico, and has collaborated closely with federal, local and state government agencies in public-private partnerships and other collaborative efforts.

Our real estate clientele is diverse and includes commercial and residential real estate buyers, sellers, developers and lenders; commercial property owners, landlords and tenants (including retail shopping centers, health care facilities, medical office buildings, and general use office buildings); a variety of U.S. and international businesses, small and medium businesses or enterprises, joint ventures, non-profit organizations; and health care providers.

Mark Raven has extensive experience with real estate, business and financing transactions and development in both Arizona and Mexico. Mr. Raven is fluent in Spanish and over the past fifteen years has traveled extensively to Mexico City, Baja California Sur and Sonora to negotiate and close real estate and business deals.

Chris McDonagh’s real estate practice includes commercial and residential real estate acquisitions and sales, leases, financing, development, and zoning and land use.  His practice has included Arizona real estate transactions since 1998 and Mexican real estate transactions since 2004. Mr. McDonagh is a member of the Arizona Real Estate Investors Association (AZREIA).

* Although the firm’s lawyers are not admitted to practice in Mexico, they work closely with Mexican lawyers and Notaries (notarios públicos) to protect their clients’ interests with respect to Mexican legal issues and transactions.
